Welcome Home!
We are Marja and Luc Simkens and together with our children Eva, Raoul and Isabelle, we give you a warm welcome at La Cerisaie.
In the very heart of the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut Languedoc, at the foot of the Mont du Somail and 4 km from St Pons-de-Thomières lies the village of Riols. There you discover ‘La Cerisaie’, a charming 19th century manor with private parking facilities and a large, shady garden.
In springtime, you can enjoy the nightingale’s singing and the wonderful blossom of the cherry trees. In June you can feast upon the plenty delightful cherry varieties.
Moreover, all season long you can enjoy the pool, the “jeu de boules” court and the various cosy seats, hammocks and chaises longues in the garden.

La Cerisaie offers you a comfortable stay in one of our five large, charming double rooms (Classic, Comfort or Superior), the Studio or one of the two gîtes that provide accommodation for 2 to 4 persons. All rooms are fitted with a modern bathroom, including a shower or bath, toilet and washbasin.

In the cosy library, where in early and late season the fireplace is lit at night, you discover loads of information about this extraordinary region.

The warm-hearted atmosphere in and around the house instantly makes you feel at home. A stay at La Cerisaie is a pleasant recreation thanks to the relaxed character.
The large rooms, comfortable beds and the hospitable welcome guarantee a pleasant holiday or long weekend under the southern French sunshine.

Children:
Our Chambres d’Hôtes do not provide family rooms. However, one extra bed can be added in the Superior rooms and in the Studio. These rooms and the Studio are not fit for babies or toddlers.
Unfortunately, in our Chambres d’Hôtes we do not have accommodation for families with multiple children.
The gîtes, on the other hand, are perfectly fit for families.

Check in – out:
We are present from 4 p.m. onward to welcome you and we appreciate it if you would consider leaving your room at 10 a.m. on your day of departure.
On Wednesdays no arrivals or departures are possible.

Pets:
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

Smoking:
Due to a general national regulation and for fire safety reasons, smoking is prohibited in our Chambres d’Hôtes.

Card payments:
Unfortunately, we cannot accept PIN or credit cards.

Breakfast
Every day we serve breakfast between 8.30 a.m. and 10 a.m. According to your wishes, breakfast can be taken in the breakfast room or outside on the terrace. We provide various kinds of meat, jam, cheese, honey and cold (fruit) juices. We serve fresh coffee, tea or chocolate milk, white and brown bread, croissants and of course, baguettes. Furthermore, each day we serve fresh fruit.
The breakfast is included in the price of the room. Guests who stay in the gîtes and/or in the Studio are free to enjoy this service for a charge of €10 per person.

Lunches:
We provide several light meals, such as various types of salads and sandwiches. Lunch can be taken every day between 12.00 a.m. and 14.00 p.m., except on Wednesdays and Sundays. As wished, we serve lunch in the dining room, on the terrace or under the silver lime.

Drinks:
Throughout the day we serve hot or refreshing drinks. Just let us know and we are at your service.
For people with a good appetite we serve tapas all day long.
Consumptions are noted and added to your bill at the end of your stay.

Tables d’Hôtes:
During seasons several nights per week, preceded by an appetizer.
Dinner is served at 20.00 p.m. and you enjoy the southern French cuisine for a charge of €26,00 per person. For younger participants till age 14 the price comes down to €14,00 per person. Our Tables d’Hôtes are not fit for toddlers or pre-school children. (Baby sitting service or baby intercom available for the gîtes).
